Proyecto Alicia

We redesigned the website of Proyecto Alicia, a neighbourhood network born after the Valencia floods (DANA) that connects people donating furniture and household goods with families who lost everything.

Starting
point.

Proyecto Alicia was born on the day of the DANA floods in Valencia. A project that started simply from the desire to help. Today it brings together more than 1,900 people who donate furniture, household goods and other items to those who lost their homes in the floods.

It was our first UX/UI project, which we have now redesigned with everything we learned along the way: a clear, warm and fast website where donating or finding what you need takes just a few clicks.

Finding help
in a few clicks.

We organised the more than 370 donations into four areas —Home, Schools, Healthcare and Vehicles— with subcategories, a search bar and a filter to see at a glance what needs collecting.

Each donation has its own page with photos, measurements, area and a single button to contact the donor.

Donate in
two minutes.

We redesigned the donation form as a guided journey: what you’re donating, measurements and photos, and your area. With tips at every step so the listing is useful first time, without asking for more information than necessary. Companies have their own journey.

Designed
for mobile.

Many people donate and search from their phones, so every screen is designed mobile-first: big buttons, comfortable reading and the donate button always within reach.

The
result.

A warm, well-organised website that keeps the spirit of “el pueblo salva al pueblo” (the people save the people) and makes helping easier.
